Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. She was hired by ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been for a long time, starting at her age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She was able to work as a producer for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. After this she was hired by her CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on the trafficking of drugs and immigration on both sides the Texas-Mexico Border, she worked as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5 pm, as a reporter for news on English until 9pm, then a news anchor for 10 pm, and then returned back to channel Spanish channel. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional responsibilities. She did pieces on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Apart from that she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She was promoted to anchor the sports segment for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. As a sports anchor, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's older than her sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and moved to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects known as Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In June of the year 2006, Antonietta took a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. As a senior at high school, but knowing exactly what she wanted to do with her life Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. In the end, she loved the school and they were offering the degree she was searching for. When she completed her high school education, she attended the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply touched by his enthusiasm for journalism.
