Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant producer at Univision. Her next job was as reporter for sports at The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. Also, she was often asked to serve as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she is more responsible. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. She was promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta's parents hail native to Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 in 1985. There is an older sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. Soon after, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The summer of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta still a senior at high school and was clear about the career she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. In the end, she loved the campus and the university offered the degree she was searching for. After finishing her high school education, she chose to enroll at the university and major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a member. They developed a close relationship. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
